Šešula Bay Resort is a perfect getaway from the everyday busy life. Very peaceful and relaxing with the sound of sea waves in the background. First-row view of the sea. With the sea, swimming pool, and nature all in one place. We are located on the Island of Šolta, town of Maslinica in Šesula Bay (an easy 10 min. walk along the sea to town). This resort consists of 3 houses, a total of 2 houses, and 2 apartments, with up to 18 guests. Each Unit has 2 bedrooms, kitchen/entry room, bath, and a spacious terrace with outside dining. This resort is excellent for: larger groups (up to 18g.), families with children (children play in the pool while you relax and enjoy), cyclers (the Island is 25 km long), divers (diving center on the Island), yoga groups (plenty of terrace space), and of course nature lovers and hikers, etc... There are 3 private paths to the sea with an outside shower. The swimming pool is lit up at night (pool available from June to end of September). On sight, there are 3 BBQ's, two boat berths, and parking. Pets are allowed. In Maslinica you can rent a scooter, bike or boat. On the Island, there is a Taxi service and a rent a car. We can also organise for you a speed boat to/from Trogir or airport. The Island is well connected with Split with 8 times a day transportation, Ferry (50 minutes), and Catamaran (speed boat 30 minutes). In Rogac there are 2 busses, one takes you in the direction of Maslinica and the other to Stomorska. We will be happy to pick you up at the port of Rogac if you don't have transportation. My husband and I do not live on this property but we are there every day to make sure that everything is to your satisfaction. We do our best to make sure that your stay is as you expected and more. We stayed at unit #1, enjoying a private and spacious terrace with dining and sitting area, hammocks, sunbeds, outdoor cooking area and a fantastic view of the bay!
The house was nicely renovated, with two bathrooms, and more spacious than the pictures gives impression of.
A few hundred meters down the road you will find a oceanside lunch and dinner restaurant, and Maslinica town, with a few restaurants, shops, new harbour and a beach cafe is only a 15 minutes walk by the ocean.
Vesna and her housband are great hosts, very helpful and offering us pick-up service at the ferryport since we did not rent a car this time. We spent a relaxing week with our two kids at the house. Highly recommended. read less

After two weeks of the crowds and hectic pace of mainland Croatia this ... read moreSolta Island setting left us feeling rejuvenated. The apartments are small but each has a large terrace. Part of the terrace is covered if you want to be out of the sun and part allows you to be in the sun. The terrace has barbecuing facilities. We spent much of each day on the terrace taking in the soothing views of the sea and forested hillsides. The setting is quiet and tranquil and offers clean, clear water for swimming.
Vesna and her husband were excellent hosts. They both speak English and were helpful getting us oriented.
The town of Maslinica is a 15 minute walk away and had four or five restaurants and a small grocery. There is another restaurant less than a five minute walk away.
However, before boarding the ferry to Solta you can go to the Green Market in Split, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from ferry, and get supplies of good quality and price. Vesna picked us up at the ferry terminal in Rogac for a reasonable fee and also stopped at a market that was much better stocked than the one in Maslinica. We would certainly stay here again if we revisit Croatia.read less

The apartment was ideal with the option of being able to cook outside which in the heat was perfect. The view from the apartment was stunning and the sea was warm and fresh. The small pool was ideal for our 3 children. The trees close by had hammocks so great to relax read a book and enjoy the sea breeze. Would come again. The small town is a 10 min or less walk from the apartment. There are restaurants and and a small supermarket which sells everything you need for cooking at home. There is also a restaurant 150m from the apartment next to a small harbour which is great for swimming. The apartment complex was ideal. This was a very relaxing place and ideal after the stress of London. We left feeling very chilled. Kleine Räume, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Ante und Vesna sind äußerst herzliche und rührige Gastgeber. Ante kümmert sich jeden Tag um die Anlage und fragt immer nach, ob etwas fehlt oder etwas benötigt wird. Er hat es geschafft, dass das W-Lan (nach Blitzeinschlägen) innerhalb eines Tages repariert bzw. der Router getauscht wurde. Unvorstellbar in Deutschland. Und er hat jeden Tag frische Feigen für alle mitgebracht. Alle haben den großen Grill oft und gerne genutzt und wir haben dann mit allen anderen Gästen eine große Tafel auf der Terrasse von Unit 2 aufgebaut und gemeinsam die überwältigenden Sonnenuntergänge genossen. Irgendwann habe ich keine Fotos mehr davon gemacht, weil mir sowieso niemand glaubt, dass die Bilder nicht in Photoshop bearbeitet sind. Aber es war wirklich so, jeden Abend! Wir waren mit 2 16-jährigen Jungs unterwegs und wie es der Zufall wollte waren genau zu der Zeit insgesamt 8 Kids in ungefähr dem gleichen Alter da. Die waren dann den ganzen Tag mit Baden, Schnorcheln und Kajaken glücklich. Man muss nichts unternehmen, dieser Ort ist der schönste! Der Weg nach Maslinica dauert zu Fuß gemütliche 15 Minuten am Meer entlang. Im Ort gibt es einen Bäcker-Stand (auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite im Hafen bei den Kiosken) und im "Knick" den Berg ca. 100m nach oben einen kleinen Supermarkt, der, wenn man früh genug kommt, auch Grillfleisch (Cevapcici und Hamburger oder Hühnchen) anbietet. Es gibt einige gute Restaurants (eines nur ca. 200m von der Anlage weg), aber diePreise sind eher gehoben. Es gibt leider keine "normale" Pizzeria, wo man mal einfach mit den Kids Essen gehen kann. Die ist eher in Rogac zu finden. Ich denke mal, dass der Grund hierfür die vielen Segler und Yachtbesitzer sind, die den Großteil der (Übernachtungs-)Gäste in Maslinica ausmachen. Der Ort selbst ist im Hafenbereich sehr schön hergerichtet und wenn man Glück hat kann man morgens den Fischern beim verarbeiten ihres Fangs zusehen und gleich frischen Fisch einkaufen. Außerdem gibt es gegenüber der Anlage in der Sesula Bucht eine Fischzucht, dort kann man mit dem Kajak anlanden und ebenfalls fangfrischen Fisch für den Grill kaufen (80kn pro Kilo). Die beiden Badestellen am Meer (wie auf den Fotos zu sehen kann man auf 2 Wegen nach unten gelangen) sind nur für die Gäste der Anlage, da kann von außerhalb niemand hingelangen. Das Wasser ist glasklar und wir waren jeden Morgen schon ganz früh Baden. Tagsüber gibt es gut Schatten bzw. gibt es genügend Sonnenschirme, die man sich an seinem Lieblingsplatz aufstellen kann. Wir waren in der Unit 1, die noch etwas oberhalb der anderen Appartements liegt. Dort auf der Terrasse weht immer ein kühles Lüftchen und der Ausblick ist traumhaft!! Wer auf Solta Urlaub macht, braucht eigentlich kein Auto. Wer versteckte Buchten suchen möchte kann sich ein Boot oder Kajak mieten. Aber der Platz...read less

Two lovely beaches and a safe calm bay for swimming. The pool is a major plus point when you have had enough of the sea.
Our accommodation room was a little small, but fine. Others apartments were slightly larger.
Solta island is perfect for a quiet break with a choices where to eat within 10 minutes walking distance or use the BBQ onsite overlooking the stunning views, sunsets and clear star lite skies.
The hosts were great popping by each day with some lovely home grown produce. Could not ask for more.

Maslinica is relatively close (we spent 17 minutes walking, along with our small kids), and has 4-6 restaurants, a beach with a beach bar, and a supermarket.
We were there for one week, and did not have a car. If you want to relax and stay around Maslinica most of the time, this is perfect. However, I would recommend a car (or a boat!) for longer stays.read less

Wellenrauschen beim aufwachen und einschlafen inklusive. Der Pool war für unsere Kinder toll. Am Haus direkt gibt es zwei tolle Badestellen ins Meer und im Dorf gibt es auch noch einen kleinen Kiesstrand. Vesna und Ante sind tolle Gastgeber! Immer bemüht, das es einem an nichts fehlt. Ante ist jeden Tag am Anwesend und immer offen für Fragen. Einen Tag haben wir mit ihm zusammen eine Bootstour gemacht, mit anschließender Verköstigung bei Vesna und Ante im Haus mit köstlichen Palatschinken!! Hierfür nochmal 1000 Dank! The houses also included a personal access for all guests to the sea with nice little stonemade terraces.
There were three houses. We had the one more aside. That was very nice for a family and it was like staying at home. And all guests staying there had their perfect privacy. As everything is arranged in a perfect way. With a pool for the children and a big barbecue. For everyone.read less

They were happy to pick us up off the ferry and take us back at the end, they drove us to do our food shopping and every day turned up with a bag of home grown (delicious) tomatoes and peppers. The outside is so beautiful with great pool for the kids and sea views of an amasing sun-set. The town center is only an easy 10 minutes walk and there are lots of small restaurants to choose from.
